ERNESTINA B. CASTILLO
PHARR – Ernestina B. Castillo, 88, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at LifeCare Hospitals of South Texas in McAllen.
Mrs. Castillo was born in Pharr and had lived there all of her life.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Sylvia Recio; parents, Manuel and Josefa Barrera
Mrs. Castillo is survived by her husband, Juan C. Castillo, of Pharr; a daughter, Gloria (Candelario) Guerra, of San Juan; three sons, Juan B. (Martha) Castillo Jr., of Edinburg, Raul (Maria Lorena) Castillo, of Pharr, Roberto (Petra) Castillo, of Mission; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Florencio Barrera, of San Antonio, Texas, Fidencio Barrera, of Pharr.
A rosary was held Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today, April 20, 2012, at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
