Octavio Castaneda, 97, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020, at his residence in Edinburg.
Octavio is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Rosa Castaneda; infant daughter, Enedina Castaneda; four sisters, Tomasita, Isabel, Santos, Rosa Evelia Castaneda; a brother, Simon Castaneda.
Mr. Castaneda is survived by his wife, Margarita Castaneda; four children, Juan Octavio (Eva) Castaneda, Enedina (Amado) Escobar, Rosa Maria (Alfonso) Cardenas, Daniel (Nancy) Castaneda; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
