ROSA MARIA "TOTI" CASARES
PHARR - Rosa Maria "Toti" Casares, 56, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at her residence in Pharr.
Born in Edinburg, Mrs. Casares lived in Pharr most of her life and was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Audias and Guillerma Gamez; a brother, Audias Gamez, Jr.; and father-in-law, Erasmo Casares.
Mrs. Casares is survived by her husband, J.E. "Eddie" Casares of Pharr; a daughter, Sally (Geoff) Westby of McAllen; three sons, Michael (Melodie) Moss of Keller, Texas, Jose "Mito" (Jennifer) Casares and Francisco Xavier (Isabel) Casares, both of McAllen; 10 grandchildren, Nick, Raquel, Xavier Jr., Karisa, Lorena, Karma, Kozmo, Brittani, Adam and Ben; a sister, Gloria (Jose Acosta) Alvarado of San Juan; two brothers, Antonio Gamez, Crispin Gamez, both of Pharr; and mother-in-law, Mrs. Guadalupe G. Casares of Edinburg.
Visitation wil be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, August 14, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen. Pallbearers will be Joe Casares, Francisco Xavier Casares, Michael Moss, Francisco Xavier Casares Jr., Xavier Nicolas Casares and Geoff Westby. Honorary pallbearers will be Gordon Cappon, Antonio Gamez, Crispin Gamez, Kozmo Westby, Tres Ramirez and Raul Hernandez
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
