CARLOS TAMEZ
EDINBURG - Carlos Tamez, 49, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Lubbock, TX.
He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dora Valdez; maternal grandfather, Jose Bautista; and father, Juan Tamez.
Mr. Tamez is survived by his wife, Antonia Valdez De Tamez; five children, Jacklyn Renee (Francisco Javier) Alvarez, Carlos Alberto Tamez Jr., Angel Rene Tamez, Ricardo Jazel Tamez, Alexander Tamez; mother, Dora Bautista; four siblings, Juan (Claudia) Tamez Jr., Raul (Angelica) Tamez, Estella (Van) Reagan, and Alejandro (Zulet Perez) Tamez.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
