EDINBURG – Santos C. Cantu, 69, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at Comfort House in McAllen.
Born in Edinburg, Ms. Cantu had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eustacio and Isabel Cantu; two brothers, Jose Cantu and Atilano Cantu; a sister, Juanita Mata.
Ms. Cantu is survived by her son, Eugenio (Melaine) Cantu of Edinburg; three grandchildren; four brothers, Sabas Cantu of Mabton, Washington, Galdino Cantu, Granger, Washington, Erasmo Cantu and Ruperto Cantu both of Edinburg; a sister, Carmen Salinas of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, February 20, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton, in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 am Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
