PHARR – Jose C. Cantu, 65, died Saturday, September 30, 2017, at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Corcovada, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, he lived in Pharr and was a member of McAllen North Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Magdaleno and Luz Cantu; and two sisters, Felipa Cantu and Carmen Cantu.
Mr. Cantu is survived by his wife, Beatriz Cantu of Pharr; two sons, Jose Javier (Roxana) Cantu of Pharr, Hugo Cesar (Tina) Cantu of Fort Worth; a daughter, Priscilla Dennise (Enrique) Espinoza of Pharr; seven grandchildren; and four siblings, Marcos Cantu, Salome Cantu, Maria De Jesus Cantu, all of Mexico, Margarito Cantu of Pharr.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday, October 2, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
A reception will follow at Memorial Event Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
