ELIDA C. CANTU
PHARR- Elida C. Cantu, 77, went home to the Lord Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Mrs. Cantu was a family oriented woman, who dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette. Elida was always happy with a smile sharing her joy with others. Her warm charisma will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her son, Rolando Garcia.
Elida is survived by her beloved husband of 15 years, Gabriel Cantu; six children, Osvaldo Garcia, Jr., Ruben Garcia, Sylvia Brown, Ramon Garcia, Cindy Garcia, Rayburn Garcia; 16 grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. funeral service Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
