Catarino C. "Erasmo" Cantu, 90, went home to our Lord Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Comfort House in McAllen.
Mr. Cantu was born and lived all of his life in Edinburg, TX.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Agustina "Tina" Cantu; seven siblings.
Mr. Cantu is survived by five children, Petra Cantu of Edinburg, Irma (Jerome) Cavaluzzi of Magnolia, TX, Ricardo Cantu of Turlock, CA, Raquel (Richard) Garcia of Houston, Dora C. (Jorge Jr.) Jasso of Edinburg; seven grandchildren, Cecilia Hernandez, PJ Hernandez, Pablo Cavaluzzi, Pedro (Cassy) Gutierrez III, Christina Gutierrez, Aaron (Alison) Jasso, Katrina Jasso, Katherine Jasso; two great-grandchildren, Tristan, Isabelle; and a brother, Ruperto (Consuelo) Cantu.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday April 13, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7473 of Elsa.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
