CALIXTRA GONZALEZ
PHARR - Calixtra Gonzalez, 72, died Thursday, December 18, 2025, in Donna.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Anabel Gonzalez; a granddaughter, Sarith Alvarez; parents, Felix and Francisca Belmares; and a sister, Lydia Carrizales.
Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by her husband, Ricardo Gonzalez Hernandez; children, Elizabeth (Francisco) Alvarez, Angelica Maria (Saul) Quintana, Ricardo (Ersilia) Gonzalez, Jr., Rodolfo (Margarita) Gonzalez, Ruben Gonzalez; 14 grandchildren; eight siblings, Antonio Belmares, Fernando Belmares, Juan Belmares, Raul Belmares, Maria Del Carmen Rodriguez, Jose Santos Belmares, Sonia Belmares, and Hilda Gisela Sustaita.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Doona.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
