SAN JUAN - Diana Caballero, 75, died Friday, August 14, 2009 at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Linares, N.L., Mexico, Mrs. Caballero had lived in San Juan most of her life and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Caballero; and her parents, Antonio and Blasa Sepulveda.
Mrs. Caballero is survived by two sons, Carlos (Alejandrina) Soto of San Juan and Hector (Aurelia) Caballero of Reynosa, Tamps., Mexico; four daughters, Aleyda (Juvenal) Garcia, Alma Rosa (Joe) Contreras, Norma (Hector) Guzman, all of San Juan and Elizabeth (Julian) Serna of Pharr; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Mario Guerra of Weslaco; and two sisters, Francisca Guerra of Linares, N.L., Mexico and Maria Luisa Ramirez of Weslaco.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, August 16, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
