EDINBURG – Esperanza S. Ramirez, 88, entered into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Mexico, Mrs. Ramirez had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who leaves behind a beautiful legacy of a life built and sustained by a strength, perseverance and fortitude that her Lord provided. She was a faithful member of El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ramon Ramirez Sr.; and grandson, Alan A. Garcia.
Esperanza is survived by a son, Ramon (Debra) Ramirez Jr. of Edinburg; four daughters, Irma R. (+Rafael) Garza of Edinburg, Bilha (Raul) Alegria of Franklin, TN, Eunice (Juan) Garcia, Priscilla R. (Walter) R. Patterson, both of Edinburg; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017, at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
