CARMEN C. BORREGO
EDINBURG – Carmen C. Borrego, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, May 17, 2018, at her residence in Edinburg.
Born in San Antonio, she had lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Angel Borrego; her parents, Nieves and Ricarda Cervantes; and six siblings.
Mrs. Borrego is survived by her 11 children, Maria Teresa (†David) Morales, Carmen (Alvaro) Borrego, Angelita (Jesus) Zurita, Jose Angel (Cindy) Borrego, Rosa (Jesse) Cantu, Estela (Samuel) Herrera, Ricardo (Dora) Borrego, Margarita (Charles) Salvia, Maria Isabel “Lisa” Borrego, Roberto Borrego, Rodolfo (Iris) Borrego; 30 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren ; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
