APOLONIA BOCANEGRA SAN JUAN - Apolonia Bocanegra, 82, died Friday, November 22, 2013, at her residence in San Juan. Born in Mission, she had lived in San Juan all of her life. Mrs. Bocanegra is survived by her husband, Edmundo Bocanegra, of San Juan; five children, Jose De Jesus (Bertha) Bocanegra, of Pharr, Martha Bocanegra, Gloria (Juan) Vega, both of Monterrey, Guadalupe (Gilberto) Tanguma, of San Juan, Ana Maria (Pablo) Rodriguez, of Donna; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a niece, Eulalia Vela, of Dallas; and a nephew, Jose Guadalupe Vela, of McAllen. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, November 24, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
