BENJAMIN “BENNY” LEE HIRSCH

ALAMO- Benjamin “Benny” Lee Hirsch, 81, died Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.

Mr. Hirsch is survived by his four children, Mary (+Narciso) Veronica Castillo, Renee Y. Hernandez, Rosanne Hirsch, Benjamin Lee Hirsch Jr.; eight grandchildren, Dimitri Gamino, Damon Hernandez, Mauricio Castillo, Darian Hernandez, Adrian Castillo, Lelaini Hernandez Montemayor, Marlena Castillo, Liam Gamino; seven great-grandchildren, Levi Jayce Carr, Emren Hernandez, Kayden Hernandez, Kaycen Grey Hernandez, Kamyrn Hernandez, Kaylei Raine Montemayor, Madeline Rae Montemayor; two siblings, Margaret (Leon) Cox and Joseph Hirsch.

 He is preceded in death by his wife, Viola Adela Contreras Hirsch; his parents, Benjamin and Elizabeth Hirsch; three siblings, Phyllis Devine, Rose Klandrud and Jo Bull.

 Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
