ADOLFO L. BENAVIDEZ, JR.
PHARR – Adolfo L. Benavidez, Jr., 59, died Friday, February 26, 2010, at his residence in Pharr.
Born in Edinburg, Mr. Benavidez had lived in Pharr all of his life and was a member of Templo Bethel in Pharr.
He is preceded in death by his father, Adolfo G. Benavidez.
Mr. Benavidez is survived by his wife, Elpidia “Pili” Benavidez; a son, Raul Benavidez, both of Pharr; his mother, Irene Benavidez, of Pflugerville, Texas; four sisters, Becky (Oscar) Rodriguez, Gloria (Jaime) Vela, Irene (Jesse) Espinoza, all of Pflugerville, Texas, Beatriz Garza, of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister-in-law, Rosario (Severo) Rocha and brother-in-law, Erasmo (Patricia) Castro, both of Pharr; and numerous nieces and nephews..
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm memorial service Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Templo Bethel, 400 S. I Road in Pharr.
In lieu of flowers monetary contributions may be sent to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, Texas 77210-4486.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
