EDINBURG - Julio C. Barrera, 25, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009.
Born in Mercedes Julio was formerly of Pharr and had lived in Edinburg for four years.
Julio is survived by his wife, Claudia Hernandez; two sons, Julio Cesar Barrera, Jr., Adrian Barrera, all of Edinburg; his parents, Damaso and Martha Barrera, of Pharr; two brothers, Damaso Barrera, Jr., Alejandro Barrera; two sisters, Martha (David Iturrubiate) Barrera, Marlen Barrera; a niece, Dayanara Iturrubiate; paternal grandparents, Damasio and Consuelo Barrera, all of Pharr; and maternal grandparents, Macario and Manuela Veronico, of Alamo.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, September 4, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 11 am Saturday, September 5, 2009, at Parroquia Francisca Xavier Cabrini in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
