Isidoro "Izzy" Barrera, 51, entered eternal rest Friday, September 24, 2021, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Palacios Barrera; and a nephew, Alonzo "Lonzie" Benito Barrera.
Izzy is survived by his father, Alonzo Barrera of Edinburg; three siblings, Benito "Benny" Alonzo Barrera of McAllen, Margarita Barrera (Ramiro) Avila of Edinburg, Cesar Barrera of McAllen; nieces and nephews, Jeannette (Javier) Guzman, Yvette (Gregorio) Molina, Julian Avila, Amy Avila, Ana Avila; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Nina Gloria Guzman, Yalainna Molina, Alonzo Javier Guzman, Manuel Javier Guzman, Cole Roy Avila, Ethan Molina, Daniel Javier Guzman, and Andres Javier Guzman.
A memorial service will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a rosary at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 208 East Canton in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Palacios Barrera; and a nephew, Alonzo "Lonzie" Benito Barrera.
