BARBARITA MARTINEZ

EDINBURG – Barbarita Martinez, 97, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mission.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Isabel Martinez Sr.; two sons, Juan Jose Martinez, Ruben Martinez; and daughter in law, Criselda Martinez.

Mrs. Martinez is survived by her four children, Ramiro M. (Teresita) Martinez, Maria Jacinta M. (+John) Brosy, Ernestina M. (Daniel) Tisler, Isabel (+Criselda) Martinez Jr.; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary, Friday, February 6, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
