Severiana Balderas

EDINBURG – Severiana Balderas, 89, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019, in Edinburg, TX.
Severiana was born and raised in Edinburg. She was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness as well as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who always welcomed everyone into her home with a generous amount of hospitality and love.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rafael Balderas, Sr.; two sons, Roberto and Adalberto Balderas; and a daughter, Guadalupe Balderas Lusk.
Severiana is survived by two sons, Domingo Balderas, Rafael (Leticia) Balderas, Jr., both of Edinburg; two daughters, Elodia Balderas of Pflugerville, TX, Amanda Balderas of Edinburg; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Hermelinda Cantu, Cipriana Mares, Victoria Gonzalez, Leonila Gaytan, all of Edinburg; and a brother, Alfonso Rodriguez of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held January 10, 2019 from 5 to 9 p.m. with a public talk to follow at 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
