AURORA MARTINEZ
PHARR–Aurora Martinez, 89, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at her residence in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Enriqueta Tamez; and siblings, Moises Tamez, Petra Arismendez and Emma Hawkins.
Aurora is survived by her seven children, Ruth Ontiveros, Noemi (Daniel) Sanchez, Maria Anita Martinez, Tomas Martinez Jr., Jose Manuel (Norma Lee) Martinez, Marcos (Linda) Martinez, Magdalena (Omar) Garcia; her ten grandchildren, Erica Garcia, Abigail Franco, Dereck Sanchez, Zoe Samuel Martinez, Britney Montez, Nathan Martinez, Samuel Sanchez, Jocelyne Martinez, Amber Lee Garcia, Zachary Montez; and her four siblings, Heriberto Tamez, Luis Tamez, Irma Rodriguez, and Santos Tamez.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. Talk, Friday, September 19, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Cremation will follow at Memorial Cremation center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
