Anselmo Arteaga, 79, went home to our Lord Monday, April 9, 2018, at McAllen Medical Center.
Mr. Arteaga was born in Edinburg and lived there all of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Cipriana Arteaga; seven siblings, Elisa Gonzalez, Juan Arteaga, Patricia Royce, Agustin Arteaga, Epifania Ramirez, San Juana Perez and Serapio Arteaga.
Mr. Arteaga is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Arteaga of Edinburg; six children, Javier (Cindy) Arteaga, Eduardo (Sylvia) Arteaga, both of Edinburg, Hector (Mellisa) Arteaga of Mission, Maribel (Eddie) Marroquin, Alma (Rogelio) Aguilar, Dora Arteaga, all of Edinburg; 15 grandchildren; four siblings, Ernestina Perez of Tyler, TX, Martin (Maria Brigida) Arteaga, Angelita (Juan) Martinez, both of Edinburg, and Estella (Odelegario) Perez of Tyler, TX.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
