JULIA B. AREVALO

EDINBURG – Julia B. Arevalo, 91, died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Comfort House in McAllen.

Mrs. Arevalo was born in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, she had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Andres Arevalo; a daughter Consuelo Garcia; a son Cruz Arevalo; and her parents, Lazaro and Crecencia Banda.

Mrs. Arevalo is survived by four sons, Enrique (Eduvina) Arevalo of Mission, Andres (Estella) Arevalo of Walla Walla, Washington, Hector (Esmeralda) Arevalo and Rodolfo Arevalo both of Edinburg; three daughters, Socorro (Rafael) Aguilar of Edinburg, Hermelinda (Gregorio) Ramirez of Elsa, Lupita (Peter) Edes of San Antonio, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother Aurelio Banda from San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Adelfina Arredondo from San Antonio, Texas and Barbara Jimenez of Las Vegas, Nevada; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm with a 7 pm rosary today September 7, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
