HIDALGO- Angelita P. Garcia, 96, died Sunday, March 3, 2024, at her residence in Hidalgo,TX.

 She is preceded in death by her parents Tomas Perez and Angelita Guzman Perez; a son, Eliberto Garcia Jr.; 7 siblings, Tomasita Munguia, Guadalupe Cano, Manuel Perez, Ignacio Perez, Marcela Martinez, Benilde Cienfuegos and Tomas Perez.

Mrs. Garcia is survived by 9 children, Ernesto (Rosie) Garcia, Enedelia Garcia, Elva (Alvaro) Esquivel, Estella (Paul) Rooney, Edna (Harry) Goette, Esther (Joel) Garza, Eduardo (Angelica) Garcia, Emmanuel Garcia, Elias (Nancy) Garcia; 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; 2 siblings, Jose Gilberto (+Aurelia) Perez and Facunda (+Harold) Plaisance.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hidalgo. Interment will follow at Hidalgo City Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
