EDINBURG – Anacleta Chavez, 99, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at her residence in Edinburg. 

She is preceded in death by her son, Jose Villanueva Sr., and his parents, Isidoro and Silveria Villanueva. 

Mrs. Chavez is survived by three grandchildren, Clara Rodriguez, Jose Villanueva, Jonathan Villanueva; numerous great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lucia Villanueva; niece, Maria G. Villanueva and family.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
