AMELIA G. SALAS
EDINBURG – Amelia G. Salas, 82, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose E. Salas; parents, Jose Angel and Anna Gonzalez; two brothers, Roel Gonzalez and Arturo Gonzalez.
Mrs. Salas is survived by her nine children, Nilda Salas, Joe (Maria Eva Juarez) Salas Jr., Angelina (+Robert) Flores, Marisela S. (Hector) Cavazos, Raul (Liza Aguirre) Salas, Amy (Rocky Beltran) Salas, Celinda Salas, Salvador Salas, Angel Salas; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elma (Salvador) Rodriguez.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
