Amador Sandoval
February 6, 1940 – June 16, 2026
Amador Sandoval, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, at his home in Pharr, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 6, 1940, in Fronton, Texas, to his loving parents Gustavo and Encarnacion Sandoval.
Amador grew up in San Juan, Texas, where his roots were planted, and later built his life in Pharr, Texas, creating a legacy centered around hard work, family, faith, and unwavering dedication.. He was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. In 1988, he founded his own business, Central Fence & Supply, Ltd., where his commitment, determination, and strong work ethic helped create a lasting legacy.
Amador was a man of deep and unwavering faith. For many years, he was a devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where his faith was an important part of his life. He found joy in the simple things, including spending time with family, hunting, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and proudly supporting his beloved Houston Astros.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gustavo and Encarnacion Sandoval; his siblings Rogelio Sandoval, Adalberto Sandoval, Viola Puente, Eliza Sandoval, Gustavo Sandoval, Juan Sandoval, and Fernando Sandoval.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Sandoval, the love of his life who remained by his side through every season of life, as well as his children, Yolanda (Roland) Garza; Celia († Douglas) Gregory; Belinda (Roel) Trevino; and Mary (Mark) Flores.
Amador was a proud grandfather to Justin D. Robles, Joseph Trevino, Cristian Garza, Gabriel Garza, Mikaila Alonzo, Hannah Trevino, John Paul Trevino, Austin Flores, Michael Trevino, Isaiah Trevino, Sarabeth Trevino, Madeleine Flores, and † Mary Therese Trevino. He was also blessed with a greatgrandson, Oliver Trevino.
He is survived by his siblings Delia Sandoval, Daniel (Rosalinda) Sandoval, Maria (Alfredo) Zavala, and Noelia (Ramon) Guajardo.
Amador will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, faithful servant, and a hardworking man whose love and dedication touched many lives. His legacy will continue through the family he loved so deeply and the memories they will forever cherish.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
