Jesus Reyna "Chuy" Altamirano

JESUS “CHUY” REYNA ALTAMIRANO ALAMO – Jesus “Chuy” Reyna Altamirano, 85, was called to the Lord’s side, Friday, March 29, 2013, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. He was surrounded by his loved ones. Don Chuy was born in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on January 15, 1928. He was always ready for a debate, he claimed he was always RIGHT! He is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Audelia (Lela); an infant son, Casiano; a brother, Jose Abelardo Altamirano; and a sister, Guadalupe A. Garza. Don Chuy is survived by “mis hijas”, Gracie Rocha of Pharr, Victoria Altamirano of Alamo, Rosie (Joe) Alaniz of McAllen; grandchildren, Claudia and Cynthia Rocha, Laurie (Carlos) Benavidez, David and Jacob Alaniz; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 - 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, April 1, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. As per his wish, Don Chuy will be cremated. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
