ALICIA H. “LICHA” CASTILLO

EDINBURG – Alicia H. “Licha” Castillo, 73, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025, at McAllen Heart Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her son, Roberto Castillo; daughter, Christina Castillo; parents, Federico and Mary (Horta) Ramos; two brothers, Louie and Freddy Jr.

Mrs. Castillo is survived by her husband, Efrain Castillo; 14 children, Teresa (Tacho) Ovalle, Maria de Jesus “Chuyita” (Martin) Brito, Marta (Venancio) Castillo, Elvia (Luis) Flores, Carmen (Manuel) Serrano, Hector Raul (Tara) Castillo, Maria del Carmen (Hector) Camacho, Efrain M. (Rita) Castillo, Luis Roberto (Katie) Castillo, Oscar (Eva) Castillo, Tina M (Kevin Smith), Socorro “Cokis” (Juan) Coronado, Efrain JR (Rachael) Castillo, Efrain Apolinar “Polo” (Teresa) Castillo; four siblings, Angie Gaeta, Hope Ramos, Carol Ramos, and Adoff Ramos; 58 grandchildren; and 58 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at La Blanca Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
