JOSE RAMON "JEREMY" ALANIZ MCALLEN - Jose Ramon "Jeremy" Alaniz, 34, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in Edinburg. Jose is preceded in death by his fathers, Jesus Maria Alaniz and Guadalupe "Pito" Vela. Mr. Alaniz is survived by his wife, Janie "Mi Amor" Alaniz; nine children, Jose G. Alaniz, Jesus Alaniz, Katelyn Alaniz, Rebecca Alaniz, Jeronimo Davon Alaniz, Brianna Alaniz, Sabrina Alaniz, John Alaniz and Brandy Alaniz; mother, Rebecca Villarreal Alaniz; a brother, Jessie "Rorro" Alaniz; and a sister, Laura Lee Vela, all of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, March 1, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Motorcade will make a final pass through by Holy Family Catholic Church prior to crematory service. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
