Aimee Lynn Villarreal

HOUSTON – Aimee Lynn Villarreal, 45, passed away Friday August 2, 2024, at Houston Methodist Hospital surrounded by her family. 

Aimee accomplished two Bachelor degrees, a Bachelor’s in Speech therapy and a Bachelor’s in Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse at MD Anderson in Houston working as a pediatric oncology nurse. She was an avid reader and an accomplished author. She published 3 books in 2014, 2015, and 2017. Aimee loved spending time with family, shopping, and catching happy hour for margaritas.

Aimee is survived by her husband, LeRoy Villarreal; three children, Brianna Granados, Dylan Villarreal, and Mia Villarreal; a granddaughter, Alaya Solis; parents, Felipe and Molly Granados; two sisters, Erica (Arturo) Garza and Crystal (Ruben Jr) Hernandez. 

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
