AGRIPINA C. ESCOBEDO

Edinburg – Agripina C. Escobedo, 73, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel G. and San Juana Cantu; two brothers, Alfonso Cantu and Aniceto Cantu. 

Mrs. Escobedo is survived by her husband of 50 years, Raymond Escobedo; four children, Melisa (Juan Jr.) Tamez, Cosme Oran Escobedo, Erik Escobedo, Amanda (Ricardo) Hernandez; 22 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; seven siblings, Alfredo Cantu, Odilia C. Ruiz, Juanita Guardado, Manuel Cantu Jr., Esperanza Banda, Ernesto Cantu, and David Cantu. 

Visitation will be begin at 4 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Iglesia Nueva Vida, 211 W. Mile 3 Rd in Palmhurst.  Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at Iglesia Nueva Vida.  Interment will follow at Lord & I Cemetery in Palmview. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
