Agraciela “Gracie” Acosta, passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 83 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was born on December 28, 1941 in Texas to the late Isabel Rodriguez and Dionicia Carrizalez Rodriguez.
Gracie is preceded in death by her loving spouse Alvaro Acosta Jr., her beloved son Eduardo Acosta, and her parents.
Gracie is survived by her loving daughter Elizabeth Gonzalez of Pueblo, Colorado, grandchildren Jessica Marie Rank (Jake), also of Pueblo, Katelyn Allyson Acosta of Victoria, Tx, Sarah Nicole Acosta of Corpus Christi, Tx, and her great-grandchildren Julian Austin Rank and Amelia Grace Rank.
Gracie served as the head cook and baker at Donna ISD from 1999 to 2024, where she was deeply loved by both students and staff. She was a devoted grandmother who always showed kindness and care to her family. Gracie was especially supportive of her children, never missing a school event or band function, and was always there to cheer them on. She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, watching Hallmark movies and Little House on the Prairie. She loved shopping, dining out, and spending her weekends dancing with her beloved husband. She will be deeply missed.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7th, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, Tx from 5pm – 8pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6pm. Visitation will resume at 9am at Memorial Funeral Home, with a Chapel Service to begin at 10am. Burial to follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens.
