EDINBURG – Eliseo Abrego, 89, died Friday, March 30, 2018, at Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility in Edinburg.
Born in Hidalgo, Mr. Abrego had lived in Edinburg all of his life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Albesa Abrego; a daughter, Hilda Abrego; his parents, Santiago Abrego and Matilde Medrano; and three siblings, Emilia Garza, Juan Abrego, Gregorio Abrego.
Mr. Abrego is survived by three children, Alicia Abrego, Juan (Cecilia) Abrego, Eliseo (Maria) Abrego Jr., six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Pallbearers will be Rodolfo Abrego, Ruben Abrego, Eloy Abrego, Ely Abrego, Jesus Monreal, and Nelson Briseno.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
